Job Description
Synkrato, a division of Gaea Global Technologies Inc., is seeking a short-term contract Unity Developer/Consultant to support our SCM Warehouse Digital Twin initiatives. Preference would be for a self-employed 1099 employment arrangement. The initial project is slotted for 2-4 weeks, with the option to utilize the Consultant on an “as needed” basis thereafter.
The consultant will:
- Review our current Unity setup and development process.
- Profile scenes and identify bottlenecks (CPU/GPU, draw calls, memory).
- Deliver a recommendation comparing WebGL/WebGPU (client-rendered) vs GPU/remote streaming.
- Advise on multi-user architecture, deployment model, and performance targets (FPS, latency, load).
Requirements
Must-have:
- 8+ years of Unity experience, including 3-4 years in architectural roles for real-time 3D/simulation/digital twins.
- Proven expertise in performance optimization.
- Strong enterprise delivery background.
Nice to have (evaluation focus):
- Experience in both WebGL/WebGPU optimization and GPU/remote streaming.
- Familiarity with warehouse/logistics/industrial simulations, large scenes, physics, and navigation.
- Cloud deployment exposure (Azure/AWS), cost modeling, autoscaling, and observability.
Additional Information
First preference will be given to 1099 independent contractors. Target start date is September 24th, 2025.
