Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering and design, with proficiency in various CAD software. This role involves creating detailed schematics and system designs, ensuring compliance with ASME codes and standards, and collaborating closely with engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality designs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce detailed CAD drawings and models using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, and MicroStation.
• Utilize Bluebeam and NavisWorks for project coordination and collaboration.
• Apply GD&T principles to ensure accuracy in mechanical design and assembly.
• Conduct mechanical analysis using FEA tools to validate designs.
• Create technical documentation, including specifications, assembly instructions, and system design reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine designs based on feedback and project requirements.
• Maintain organized records of all design iterations and revisions.
• Assist in the development of 2D animations for presentations or project proposals.

Requirements

• Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, and Pro/ENGINEER is required.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and construction practices.
• Familiarity with drafting techniques and mechanical design processes is essential.
• Experience with technical writing for documentation purposes is preferred.
• Knowledge of ASME codes & standards is a plus.
• Previous experience in system design or assembly within a manufacturing or engineering environment is recommended.
