Job Description

We are seeking a talented and creative Podcast Videographer to join our team and bring our podcast content to life through captivating visuals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling through video and a strong understanding of video production, editing, and lighting. You will work closely with our podcast team to create visually engaging content that complements our audio podcasts, helping to grow our brand and engage our audience across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Video Production: Capture high-quality video during podcast recordings, ensuring excellent lighting, sound, and composition. This includes multi-camera setups for interviews and guest appearances, as well as single-camera shots for solo episodes.

Editing: Edit and post-produce video content, ensuring a polished final product for platforms like YouTube, social media, and other video-sharing platforms. This includes syncing audio and video, color correction, sound editing, and adding graphics/overlays as needed.

Content Creation for Social Media: Produce short-form clips, highlights, and teasers for promotion on social media channels, including Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and Facebook.

Collaboration: Work closely with the podcast host, producer, and other team members to ensure the visual elements align with the overall podcast brand and vision.

Studio Setup: Set up and break down video equipment for recordings, ensuring everything runs smoothly and is well-maintained.

Stay Up-to-Date: Stay current with trends in podcasting, video production techniques, and emerging video platforms to keep content fresh and engaging.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a videographer or video editor, preferably with experience in podcast or interview-style video content.
• Proficient in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
• Strong understanding of camera equipment, lighting techniques, and sound for video.
• Ability to shoot and edit video content quickly without sacrificing quality.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Creative mindset with the ability to contribute ideas to enhance the visual storytelling of the podcast.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• A portfolio or demo reel showcasing previous video work, especially in podcast or similar formats, is required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with graphic design or motion graphics (e.g., After Effects) for adding intros, outros, or branded elements to videos.
• Familiarity with social media trends and best practices for video content.
• Experience with live-streaming or behind-the-scenes production for podcasts or events.
