Job Description

We’re looking for a talented and reliable Freelance Event Videographer to join our network of creative professionals. This role is perfect for someone who has a cinematic eye, thrives in fast-paced environments, and enjoys capturing events and social media content with a professional, storytelling approach. This is a freelance, on-call position—you will be booked for event productions, brand activations, and social media shoots throughout the DMV region. Editing is not required; we’re seeking shooters who can deliver high-quality raw footage.

Responsibilities

• Film live events, corporate activations, and branded content shoots.
• Capture high-quality footage using cinematic techniques.
• Operate in 24fps, 30fps, and 60fps, depending on project needs.
• Ensure proper lighting, audio, and composition in dynamic environments.
• Follow creative direction while bringing your own cinematic vision.
• Deliver raw footage promptly and in organized formats.
• Maintain professionalism with clients and talent on set.

Requirements

• Own professional camera equipment (Canon preferred; Sony and other full-frame systems welcome).
• Proficiency with multiple lenses (wide, standard, and telephoto) for versatile coverage.
• Experience using stabilizers/gimbals, tripods, and other standard production gear.
• Strong understanding of cinematic composition, framing, and storytelling.
• Familiarity with shooting for both event coverage and social media formats (vertical and horizontal).
• Ability to work with natural and artificial lighting setups.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and adjusting quickly to event flow.
• Reliable transportation within Maryland, DC, and Virginia.
• Flexible schedule for weekend and evening work as events demand.

Nice-to-Haves

• Audio gear for backup recording (shotgun mic, lavaliers).
• Experience working with brands, agencies, or high-profile events.
• Familiarity with content delivery workflows (Dropbox, Google Drive, Synology, etc.).

Compensation

• Freelance / per-project basis.
• Rate based on scope of event, hours, and experience.
