Job Description

This is a short-term position for a specific special event and period. The role requires the individual to perform on a designated instrument or sing. Candidates must be able to stand or sit and perform for 45-minute intervals. Additional responsibilities include setting up and striking personal musical equipment, logging show counts on the facility report, completing sound checks once daily (when appropriate), cleaning up personal trash from the break room, and maintaining an on-time schedule for performance. Interested applicants must be able to work in crowds, and endure heat and cold during 45-minute shows. Additionally, candidates will be required to join the American Federation of Musicians if not already a member.

Requirements

Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age.

Physical Requirements:

• Constantly standing, talking, climbing, walking, reaching, using finger movement, grasping, feeling, speaking clearly, hearing conversations, using hearing acuity, seeing near and far, stooping, bending, and kneeling.
• Working in extreme heat, sun, cold, wetness, humidity, and temperature change.
• Must be able to carry and wear 5 to 10 pounds of costume weight.
• All lifts over 51 lbs. require help from a coworker or mechanical device.
• Overtime for adults may be required from time to time to accommodate business needs.
