Job Description

At Apple, the Information Intelligence Infrastructure team is focused on building innovative technology for search, natural language processing, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The team supports critical services across Apple’s ecosystem, including Apple Search, Apple Music, Apple TV, and more, handling millions of queries daily with low latencies. This role involves working with large-scale systems, optimizing models, and collaborating with various teams to develop production-grade solutions for Apple customers.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong background in computer science: algorithms, data structures, and system design
• 4+ years of experience in large-scale distributed system design, operation, and optimization
• Familiarity with popular ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally
• BS, MS, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in building and maintaining systems in modern programming languages (e.g., Golang, Python)
• Familiarity with fundamental deep learning architectures like Transformers and Encoder/Decoder models
• Knowledge of Nvidia TensorRT-LLM, vLLLM, Nvidia Triton Server, etc.

Pay & Benefits

The base pay range for this role is between $139,500 and $258,100, and is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Employees have opportunities for stock purchase and participate in discretionary employee stock programs. Additionally, the role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments, as well as relocation benefits.
