Creative Media & Digital Growth Specialist
We are a multi-state nonprofit seeking a part-time Creative Media & Digital Growth Specialist to lead the design, production, and execution of engaging multimedia content for our digital platforms. This role focuses on building our YouTube channel, expanding social media presence, and creating compelling stories that establish thought leadership in the nonprofit space while increasing donor giving. The ideal candidate is highly creative, technically skilled in video and design production, and fluent in social media trends, algorithms, and growth strategies. This is a role for someone who can bring fresh ideas to life โ from concept and script to polished, professional content.
Key Responsibilities
1. Video Production & YouTube Growth
- Plan, film, and edit high-quality YouTube videos, reels, and short-form content.
- Optimize videos for SEO, thumbnails, descriptions, tags, and cross-platform promotion.
- Ensure professional-level lighting, sound, and video quality.
- Develop scripts, storyboards, and content outlines that align with brand voice and strategy.
- Track channel analytics and recommend growth strategies.
2. Social Media Strategy & Content Creation
- Design and schedule content across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Stay current with algorithm updates and trends to maximize reach and engagement.
- Create storytelling campaigns that inspire donor giving and community engagement.
- Develop graphics, animations, and branded visuals using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
- Run and manage boosted posts and ad campaigns, analyzing ROI.
3. Creative Storytelling & Brand Voice
- Collaborate with CEO to transform ideas into engaging creative content.
- Capture and edit authentic stories from program impact, donors, and partners.
- Write scripts, captions, and copy that communicate clearly and inspire action.
- Build consistency in look, feel, and tone across all channels.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 4โ6 years of experience in creative media, digital marketing, or social media content creation.
- Proficiency in video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent).
- Strong skills in Canva, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, or other design tools.
- Knowledge of YouTube algorithms, SEO best practices, and social media ad/boost management.
- Ability to film and edit with high-quality lighting and sound standards.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills, especially for donor/community audiences.
- Comfortable managing multiple creative projects independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience growing YouTube channels or digital brands.
- Familiarity with nonprofit storytelling, fundraising campaigns, or donor communications.
- Photography and animation/motion graphics experience a plus.
Compensation & Schedule
- Hourly pay: $30โ$35/hr., based on experience.
- Part-time, 15โ20 hours/week (flexible schedule).
- Hybrid role - candidates must be based in Nevada County, CA.
- Weekly in-person filming sessions with CEO/team.
