Film Fixer is needed in Bridgewater, Barbados.

Our documentary program Beyond Borders is seeking a fixer to support production on two episodes in the Caribbean. The first episode will focus on climate prevention in Barbados, and the second will cover the health crisis caused by toxic pesticide use in Guadeloupe/Martinique. We require a fixer with a journalistic background and experience working in documentaries, who is fluent in English and French and has access to local contacts and organizations to assist with setting up interviews and facilitating research and preparation. The role will involve attending the shoots (likely around two weeks), supporting with permits and relevant paperwork, and ideally, the candidate can drive. The shoot period is expected to be scheduled around December or January. Knowledge and interest in climate change and disaster prevention, especially with a focus on Barbados, is important, as is an understanding of the pesticide health crisis in Martinique and Guadeloupe. The fixer must be available on site for the full duration of the project in Barbados and must know the local area well.
