Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS, Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing backend services and collaborating with front-end teams to deliver scalable, high-availability solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 5–6 years of hands-on backend engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Strong experience with AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.).
• Hands-on expertise with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD principles and Agile delivery practices.
• Familiarity with collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to manage ambiguity pragmatically.
• Excellent communication skills with a proactive and self-driven mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and maintenance of service-side logic and databases using Java and modern frameworks.
• Architect, implement, and optimize RESTful APIs and distributed microservice architectures.
• Work with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration of user-facing components with backend logic.
• Architect and manage secure, cost-optimized AWS solutions; deploy workloads leveraging cloud-native services.
• Build and maintain high-throughput pipelines using Apache Kafka.
• Deploy, scale, and monitor applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop secure data protection and storage solutions; ensure compliance with best practices.
• Conduct testing, debugging, and peer code reviews to ensure performance and reliability.
• Maintain clear technical documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions.
