Job Description

The Audio Algorithms team at Apple is seeking a highly skilled and creative engineer who is passionate about advancing audio technologies. You will research and develop cutting-edge machine learning technologies for audio processing and work in collaboration with researchers to implement and optimize features across various Apple products. This role requires collaboration with multiple teams, including product development, Acoustics, and Audio Software, to integrate ideas into products that impact millions of customers.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in generative machine learning
• Hands-on experience developing machine learning pipelines
• Research experience in audio algorithm development using machine learning (released product features, patents, papers, etc.)
• Proficiency in Python and common software engineering practices

Preferred Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
• Experience with multimodal encoding, diffusion, flow matching, distillation
• Familiarity with developing ML for resource-constrained devices
• Familiarity with developing real-time speech and audio processing software
• Familiarity with psycho-acoustics, speech, and language modeling.

Pay & Benefits

The base pay range for this role at Apple is between $139,500 and $258,100, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to base pay, Apple offers participation in employee stock programs, discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and stock purchase options.
