Job Description

We are looking for a Product Designer to join our TikTok design team in San Jose. You will be responsible for driving the end-to-end experience of key business modules, including video consumption frameworks, account systems, and customer service modules, helping millions of users enjoy a seamless and delightful experience. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to define problems, generate ideas, and deliver high-quality solutions while participating in every step of the product development process.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Solid experience with UX and UI design, with a portfolio demonstrating strong visual craft and well-reasoned design decisions.
• Proven ability to lead projects end-to-end, from strategy to launch, with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to generate multiple design concepts rapidly, iterate based on data and feedback, and deliver under fast-paced conditions.
• Curious, proactive, and self-driven; eager to explore new ideas and technologies (interest in AI-driven design a plus).
• Strong communication skills to clearly articulate design rationale and facilitate alignment across teams.
• Open-minded, collaborative, and resilient when facing feedback and change.
• Global product awareness, passionate about improving user experience for diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience designing for consumer-facing products across mobile and web, ideally in video consumption, social, or content creation products.
• Experience working with data-driven design, A/B testing, and continuous iteration.
• Familiarity with front-end development or ability to work closely with engineers on implementation details.
• Enthusiasm for TikTok and its creator community.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation for this position ranges from $115,200 to $255,867 annually. Variability in compensation may occur depending on qualifications, skills, experience, and location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, and more. Additionally, employees receive 10 paid holidays, 10 paid sick days, and 17 days of Paid Personal Time per year (accrual increases with tenure).
