Position Title: Senior Backend Developer

Work Set-up: Hybrid / WFH

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 07:00 AM – 04:00 PM PHT

Holidays: VIC, AU Holidays Salary: Php 100,000.00 - 140,000.00 gross salary package

JOB DESCRIPTION AS A SR. BACKEND DEVELOPER

Your Responsibilities as a Sr. Backend Developer: • Architect and develop scalable backend systems and microservices using Node.js and TypeScript

• Build serverless and event-driven applications leveraging AWS (Lambda, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, DynamoDB, S3)

• Design and integrate backend services for IoT and payment system use cases

• Write clean, well-documented, and tested code

• Optimize and maintain existing codebases and proactively resolve bugs

• Produce robust technical documentation to support long-term scalability

• Work collaboratively with a cross-functional development team

• Lead improvements in development processes and backend infrastructure

• Follow and enforce backend best practices and secure development standards

Qualifications as a Sr. Backend Developer:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• At least 5+ years of backend development experience

• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript

• Hands-on experience with AWS and serverless technologies

• Strong understanding of event-driven systems and distributed architectures

• Skilled in backend design patterns and best practices

• Able to document and communicate software architecture clearly

• Fluent in written and spoken English

• Ownership mindset with a proactive, problem-solving attitude
