Job Description

St. Andrew Lutheran Church is seeking a flexible, part-time Sound Engineer to enhance worship experiences for the congregation. This role is scheduled as needed to support the current Media Team.

Essential Duties

1. Run the sound board for Sunday worship services, rehearsals, and special events.

2. Collaborate with worship leaders, musicians, and staff to ensure smooth, distraction-free services.

3. Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot microphones, routing, speakers, monitors, and related equipment.

4. Assist with teardown and resetting audio setups after events.

5. Ensure proper storage of all equipment post-use.

6. Assist with recordings and livestreams for remote congregation members.

Qualifications

1. Degreed, certified, or proven success as a sound engineer in live sound environments (preferably in church, school, or performance settings).

2. Attention to detail and a passion for creating memorable worship moments.

3. Commitment to maintaining high levels of professionalism and integrity.

4. Team player.

5. Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

6. Camera or livestream experience is preferred but not required.

Additional Information

Hours: Flexible, part-time role primarily on Sundays and other events as scheduled.

Hourly Rate: $40 per hour / $160 for a four-hour Sunday shift (7:45 AM – 11:45 AM).
