solo acting, monologue, fine art FILM project
Actor is needed in València, Spain.
I am an artist working with film, text, and performance, seeking an actor for a fine art film project centered around a solo monologue. The project will be developed through three sessions, each lasting about 2-3 hours, scheduled flexibly within one to two weeks in València, Spain. The work will take place on a simple, relaxed set, collaborating only with me in the roles of director and cinematographer. There is no funding and no commercial intention; this is a personal, artist-led project paid out of pocket.
The ideal actor must speak English fluently, be comfortable with improvisation, and have a strong interest in literature and cinema. We will work together with a loose script, emphasizing creative input and collaboration. Applicants should ideally be in their late 20s to early 40s, of any gender. Artistic references for the project include Gena Rowlands/John Cassavetes’ work, Beckett’s “Not I,” and Sartre’s “No Exit.”
