Job Description
FOH Engineer, Atlanta, GA
Constellation Concerts produces premium, immersive concert experiences beneath a canopy of laser-projected stars. Every show is meticulously crafted, combining top-tier musicianship, cinematic visuals, and emotional storytelling. This is a contract-based, part-time role, with shows occurring 1–2 times per month, alongside light weekday prep. Compensation: $60–$80/hr, commensurate with experience and contribution level.
Core Duties
- Full FOH ownership on show days: PA setup, patching, RF coordination, board prep
- Collaborate with producers, musical directors, and lighting designers to execute a cohesive, high-impact show
- Lead or assist with load-in, soundcheck, and load-out
- Maintain and troubleshoot wireless systems and radio frequency
- Ensure a pristine, dialed-in mix that delivers a premium audience experience
Requirements
- Proven success as a live FOH engineer in premium, music-focused environments (concerts, theaters, galas, etc.)
- Mastery of signal flow, EQ, compression, and live vocal/band balancing
- Expertise in wireless tech & RF management (Sennheiser G4, IEMs, handhelds, etc.)
- Experience mixing a wide range of genres and instrumentations
- Comfortable with Behringer X32, PreSonus, and similar digital boards
- Calm, communicative, and reliable under pressure
- Fast, solutions-oriented problem solver with a meticulous ear
Bonus Skills (Additional Pay Available)
- Sound design and playback programming (QLab, Ableton, or equivalent)
- Advanced DSP tuning (PA alignment, delay matrices, room EQ)
- Experience with immersive or theatrical audio environments
