Gallery Sonder is a dynamic art gallery in Orange County, CA, specializing in innovative and thought-provoking exhibitions that push the boundaries of contemporary art. We are seeking a versatile and creative individual to join our team as a Creative Content Specialist. This role is ideal for someone passionate about art, photography, videography, and design, with a keen eye for detail and a flair for storytelling.

As the Creative Content Specialist, you will play a crucial role in capturing and promoting the essence of our exhibitions. You will be responsible for photography, videography, and basic graphic design work, ensuring that our visual content across all platforms is engaging, cohesive, and reflective of Gallery Sonder’s brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Photography:
• Capture high-quality images of installations, exhibitions, and individual artworks.
• Edit and retouch images for use in promotional materials, social media, and the gallery’s website.
• Maintain an organized archive of all visual assets.
• Videography:
• Shoot and edit short videos for social media platforms, focusing on exhibition highlights, artist interviews, and behind-the-scenes content.
• Create compelling video content that enhances our online presence and engages our audience.
• Graphic Design:
• Design basic promotional materials, including social media graphics, event invitations, and email campaign visuals.
• Ensure all designs align with the gallery’s aesthetic and branding guidelines.
• Social Media Content Creation:
• Assist in creating and curating content for the gallery’s social media channels.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content strategies that resonate with our target audience.

Requirements

• Proven experience in photography, with a strong portfolio showcasing installation and artwork photography.
• Proficiency in photo and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro).
• Basic graphic design skills with experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
• Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation strategies.
• Creative mindset with a strong eye for composition, color, and detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Passion for contemporary art and a deep understanding of Gallery Sonder’s vision.

Additional Information

Job Types: Part-time, Internship, Freelance

Base Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
