Job Description

As a Lead Java Elasticsearch Engineer, you’ll guide a skilled POD team in designing and building scalable data solutions that power real-time analytics and ESG insights. You’ll drive architecture decisions, develop high-performance APIs, and integrate complex data pipelines across GCP, BigQuery, and Elasticsearch. This role offers the opportunity to shape impactful, cloud-native systems at scale while mentoring engineers in an agile, innovation-driven environment.

Requirements

MUST HAVES:

• 5+ years of experience in backend or data engineering roles;
• Strong programming skills in Java 17+ with Spring Boot experience;
• Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, including index design and query optimization for real-time search and analytics;
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, BigQuery);
• Hands-on experience with GCP or other cloud platforms;
• Solid grasp of distributed systems and API design;
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes);
• Experience developing low-latency APIs;
• Familiarity with DevOps setups and Agile/Scrum environments;
• Upper-Intermediate English level.

NICE TO HAVES:

• Databricks, PySpark, Python;
• BigQuery SQL;
• Additional GCP Cloud experience;
• Frontend experience with React.js or AngularJS.
