Job Description
The YouTube BrandConnect UX Team is seeking a UX Designer focusing on creator-facing monetization experiences—helping creators manage and negotiate brand deals on YouTube. This is not a consumer-facing role; instead, you will design for small creators functioning as independent businesses. The ideal candidate will simplify complex workflows, enhance usability, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, creator-focused design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design intuitive workflows and interfaces for creator monetization and brand deal management.
- Collaborate with UX Researchers, Product Managers, and Engineering teams to create user-centered designs.
- Apply and maintain consistency within YouTube Studio’s design system using Figma.
- Represent design work during reviews with the core YouTube Studio UX team.
- Partner with a Senior UX Designer for mentorship and alignment with existing design frameworks.
- Deliver design solutions that balance user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of UX design experience (open to candidates with up to 10+ years of experience who can adapt quickly).
- Proficiency in Figma and established design systems (YouTube Studio or similar).
- Strong user-centered design thinking and experience collaborating with UX researchers.
- Experience working in large or complex organizations with cross-functional collaboration and review processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior UX experience with creator-focused platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Airbnb host tools, or Booking.com.
- A portfolio showcasing end-to-end project work, design process, and collaboration with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to design systems while maintaining creativity and precision.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to hit the ground running in a short-term role.
Additional Information
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $80.00 - $95.00 per hour
Work Location: Hybrid remote in San Bruno, CA 94066
