Job Description

As a Java + Elasticsearch Engineer, you’ll be part of a high-performing POD team developing scalable, cloud-native data solutions that power ESG analytics and real-time search capabilities. You’ll build robust APIs, optimize data pipelines, and enhance system performance across GCP and Elasticsearch environments. This role offers the chance to work with modern technologies, contribute to sustainability-driven engineering, and grow within a collaborative, agile setup.

Requirements

MUST HAVES

  • 5+ years of experience in backend or data engineering roles
  • Strong programming skills in Java (Spring Boot preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch for real-time search and analytics
  • Experience in designing Elasticsearch indexes and optimizing search/query performance
  • Familiarity with relational/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, BigQuery)
  • Hands-on experience with GCP or other cloud platforms
  • Solid grasp of distributed systems and API design
  • Experience with CI/CD and containerization tools like Docker/Kubernetes
  • Comfort working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Upper-intermediate English level
