Freelance Food Videographer — Newly Renovated Sushi Concept (Savannah, GA)

Pay: Flat $800 day rate

About the Client: A newly renovated, high-end sushi restaurant in the South Savannah area with a cinematic dining atmosphere. Expect a polished, elegant vibe with modern interiors and artistic plating. You’ll help translate this environment into scroll-stopping short-form visuals.

The Assignment:

Length: 4–5 hours (approx.) Shoot window: within the next 5 days

Deliverables:

• 150–200 vertical RAW clips (10–15s each)
• Original LUT only (no color grading)
• 4K 60–120 fps footage
• Composition guided by detailed creative brief (angles, lighting, references)

Crew & setting: Restaurant fully open; full kitchen and floor access with team on site.

Camera:

Sony A7S III / FX3 / FX30 / Canon R5 C / Panasonic S5 IIX or equivalent full-frame cine hybrid.

Acceptable Alternatives:

Sony A7 IV / Canon R6 II / Lumix S5 II or equivalent that can shoot 4K 60p minimum. Must record 4K 60–120 fps, 10-bit 4:2:2. No 8-bit or 1080-only submissions.

Lenses:

24–70mm f/2.8 GM, 50mm f/1.4, 90mm macro. 35mm f/1.4 GM acceptable if paired with a wider lens. Must handle both wide ambience & close texture shots.

Stabilization:

DJI RS2 / RS3 / RS3 Mini gimbal required, tripod or monopod optional. Tripod allowed for static compositions. Gimbal mandatory for motion flow.

Lighting:

Natural daylight priority + Aputure 120d/300x-class LED or comparable fill for kitchen/ambience. Expect to shoot under natural light first; use LED for controlled scenes.

Audio:

On-camera or shotgun mic for ambient sound (optional but preferred). No lavs needed. Capture environmental sound when possible.

Drone:

Licensed operator with 4K-capable drone (DJI Mini 3 Pro / Air 3 / Mavic 3 or better) - Optional.

File Format:

4K LOG, ProRes 422 or H.264 ≥150 Mb/s, Original LUT only (no grading). Must deliver organized folder structure via Drive/Dropbox within 24h.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experienced with cinematic restaurant interiors & food content
• Understands pacing, lighting transitions, and spatial flow
• Portfolio reflects smooth handheld movement and composition under natural light

• 4K LOG, ProRes 422 / H.264 ≥150 Mb/s
• Vertical format only
• Drive/Dropbox delivery within 24h
