The BIGGEST, BOLDEST, and OVER THE TOP Christmas Pop-Up Bar is coming BACK to Houston, and we need YOU! We are turning Houston into a winter wonderland and are looking for skilled individuals who can help create a magical holiday atmosphere. This is your chance to be part of something BIG, FUN, and FULL OF HOLIDAY SPIRIT! We are seeking an experienced and passionate Set Designer who thrives in a creative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptual Design: Develop original and innovative holiday-themed set designs aligned with the overall event vision, ensuring a magical experience for guests.
• Set Construction: Oversee the fabrication and assembly of sets, ensuring safety standards and design specifications are met.
• Material Sourcing: Select and source materials, decorations, props, and structures while adhering to the event budget.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the creative director, production team, decorators, and lighting designers for seamless integration of visual elements.
• Project Management: Manage timelines for set design and build processes, ensuring milestones are met.
• Installation and Teardown: Supervise the installation and safe assembly of sets at the event location and manage post-event teardown.
• Quality Control: Maintain high standards for visual presentation throughout the event duration.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in set design or production design, preferably in large-scale events, theater, film, or themed environments.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in design software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
• Hands-On Skills: Familiarity with set construction techniques, carpentry, and prop fabrication.
• Creative Vision: Strong ability to conceptualize holiday-themed environments, understanding color, space, and composition.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly troubleshoot and adjust designs or installations during the build.
• Time Management: Manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work long hours during preparation.
• Team Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to work effectively with a diverse team.
• Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing needs and last-minute adjustments.

Additional Information

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $17.00 - $35.00 per hour
