Job Description

The role involves creating procedures and packages to meet ETL requirements, conducting performance analysis to optimize operational systems, and contributing to master data management projects. The candidate will work closely with the data team and architects, mentor developers, conduct code reviews, represent the data engineering team in IT discussions, and translate business goals into technical data models.

Requirements

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Higher education degree or equivalent experience with at least 5 years as an ETL Developer.
  • Ability to communicate in Dutch or French, and good knowledge of English.
  • Profound knowledge of T-SQL scripting & querying.
  • Expertise in the MS SQL stack (DB – SSIS – SSRS) on 2019 and 2022 releases, Standard Edition.
  • Knowledge of Azure-based ETL Solutions such as Azure Data Factory and/or Fabric.
  • Familiarity with Databricks.
  • Experience with other ETL concepts & technologies is an added value.
  • Knowledge of batch ETL and streaming services (via Kafka and others).
  • Experience in setting up integrations and migrating from legacy to new concepts.
  • Strong experience in data warehousing (DataVault, etc.) and tools (Power BI, etc.).
  • Knowledgeable about data modeling, data access, and data storage techniques.
  • Experience with big data (Hadoop, etc.), pipeline orchestration, and log collection & distribution tools is a plus.
  • Experience in Agile or SCRUM practices is a plus.
