Job Description

Newfangled Studios is a Creative Production Agency crafting social-first, digitally native campaigns for some of the world’s most celebrated brands. We are searching for an enthusiastic Junior Motion Designer to help animate big campaigns for even bigger brands. As a member of our animation team, you’ll work closely with our artists and directors to create world-class video and animation, all while delivering on our four points of the Newfangled North Star: Creativity and Innovation, Business Results, Respect & Inclusion, and Forward Progress.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of After Effects, particularly for motion graphics animation.
• Desire to grow and learn, with a passion for the creative craft.
• Understanding of animation principles and strong sense of timing.
• Organized and detail-oriented artist.
• Ability to observe and replicate established animation styles with a director’s assistance.
• Open to feedback with curiosity and constructive criticism.
• Creative collaborator, able to work in a team environment to achieve goals.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• At least one year of working experience within the motion graphics industry.
• Legally eligible for work in the United States or Canada.

Responsibilities

• Animate short-form content for larger campaigns, such as Instagram stories or Snapchat ads.
• Retime, reformat, and version existing assets for various social media platforms.
• Work closely with designers and directors to bring storyboards to life through animation.
• Deliver work on time and according to schedule, meeting internal and external deadlines.
• Assist in larger animation projects as support for Senior Animators.
• Implement feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
• Keep projects clean, organized, and easy to navigate for other animators.
