Job Description

We are looking for a talented Freelance Legal Content Writer to help deliver high-quality content for our world-class clients. The role involves producing comprehensive articles on various legal topics and adapting tone and complexity for different audiences.

Responsibilities
- Conduct keyword research to identify content opportunities for clients
- Write comprehensive articles on a variety of legal topics including personal injury, estate planning, real estate, business, marriage/divorce, contracts, etc.
- Adapt tone and complexity of pieces to address the correct audience and align with relevant style guides
- Achieve client SEO traffic goals by creating content that ranks and generates organic links
- Perform outreach to journalists and bloggers periodically
- Create effective titles to improve CTR and garner press attention
- Nurture relationships with writers, reporters, and web editors
- Implement feedback from editors, clients, and teammates
- Provide reliable, solutions-oriented support for growing clients’ online presence
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience as a content writer focused on legal topics (preferably published on reputable sites)
- Extensive knowledge of niche topics such as contracts, real estate, consumer legal protections, employee rights, and family law
- Experience writing digital content, including long-form guides, how-tos, comparison posts, and thought leadership content
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in a remote environment
- Project management skills to handle multiple projects effectively
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently
- Close attention to detail and a focus on producing quality content
- Proven ability to generate creative ideas that attract online attention
Suggested Skills
- A 4-year university degree in finance, economics, or a related field; a JD is a plus
- Intermediate knowledge of SEO tools and their application to improve client websites
- Experience collaborating with design teams and advising on design and UX best practices
