Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Biographer Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional writing skills and a keen ability to conduct thorough research, enabling them to craft compelling biographies that capture the essence of individuals’ lives. This role requires a blend of creativity and technical expertise, ensuring that each biography is not only engaging but also accurate and well-structured.

Requirements

• Fluent in Hindi.
• Proven experience in writing, editing, or journalism with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
• Proficiency in proofreading, copy editing, and fact-checking to ensure high-quality content.
• Familiarity with various writing styles including AP style and the Chicago Manual of Style.
• Excellent research skills with the ability to synthesize information from diverse sources.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
• Proficient in word processing software and other relevant tools for document creation and editing.
• A background in creative writing or technical writing is advantageous.

Duties

• Conduct in-depth interviews with subjects and their families to gather personal stories and insights.
• Perform extensive research to verify facts and enhance the narrative with relevant historical context.
• Write, edit, and proofread biographies, ensuring adherence to the Chicago Manual of Style and AP style guidelines.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and incorporate feedback into the final drafts.
• Fact-check all information presented in the biographies for accuracy and authenticity.
• Utilize strong communication skills to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Stay updated on best practices in journalism, creative writing, and technical writing.

Additional Information

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $34.73 per hour
