Location: Columbia, SC

Contract: Temporary

Job Description

This position is newly created as part of the Eligibility and Enrollment Member Management Project, which includes a skilled team of state personnel, IT professionals, and consultants. The role involves working as an on-site software developer for the project, leveraging extensive experience with modern development frameworks and technologies.

Duration of the contract is 12 months, with the possibility for extension. Candidates are required to work on-site five days a week, and must be South Carolina residents or willing to relocate at their own expense.

The interview process includes one virtual round. Submissions will close on 10/20 at 5:00 PM EST.

Requirements

Candidates must possess significant development experience in the following areas:

  • Modern UI/UX frameworks
  • Python or Java programming
  • NodeJS based front-end frameworks (ReactJS/Angular)
  • Server-side coding using Python and familiarity with web frameworks such as Django/Fast API
  • Complex SQL report writing
  • Proof of concept development using JavaScript/Angular/Python

Additional requirements include:

  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS
  • Knowledge of healthcare insurance principles and processes
  • Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) experience
  • Experience with Django or similar Python web frameworks
  • UI/UX certification (preferred)
  • Development experience with any Rules Engines (preferred)

Additional Information

Max Bill Rate: $90.00/hr on W2/1099

Breakdown: $10 would be payroll ($6.50/hr employee pay and $3.50/hr as employer expenses) with the remaining amount sent as 1099 to your LLC or yourself.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay Range: $85.00 - $90.00 per hour

Expected Hours: 40 per week
