Job Description
The Professional Women’s Hockey League is seeking an experienced and passionate individual for the role of Team Video Producer for the New York Sirens. The Team Video Producer will report to the Marketing Manager for the New York Sirens and collaborate with Video Production Managers across the league, as well as the Brand and Marketing team, to create storytelling content that elevates both the team and league brands, engages fans, and drives ticket sales.
The Team Video Producer will be responsible for creating compelling visual content showcasing the team and the team’s brand across all platforms, leading the production process from ideation to delivery. This role requires a keen visual eye, technical expertise, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in video production, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in producing, shooting, and editing compelling visual content
- Minimum of 1 year of shoot and editing experience on both short-form and long-form sports-related projects for digital platforms – Required
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite – Required
- Strong grasp of the latest non-linear video editing techniques and visual trends, and how those apply to social and digital platforms
- Experience operating within the Sony camera ecosystem and managing LOG workflows from capture through post-production
- Proficient in capturing clean, high-quality audio in various environments
- Thorough understanding of and ability to use basic video production equipment
- Proficiency in motion graphics - Preferred
- Experience with 3D modeling and animation - Preferred
- Proficient with computers and MS Office programs
- Must reside in New Jersey or New York
- Must be available to work at team training camp beginning in mid-November
- Ability to travel with the team, when needed
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ideate, produce, post-produce, and deliver video content for the New York/New Jersey markets, from concept development to final delivery
- Develop content with a strategic focus on driving revenue and supporting key marketing objectives
- Produce, shoot and edit video content including features, highlights, interviews, and on-demand content optimized for social media, websites, apps, and in-stadium platforms
- Cover and capture events related to the New York Sirens as requested: games, practices, trainings, community appearances
- Shoot/edit game content and highlights on-site during all home and away games and at events as needed
- Create video content that engages viewers, reflects the brand, and adheres to brand standards
- Utilize storytelling techniques to create visual narratives that resonate with audiences
- Work closely with internal constituents to develop creative solutions for project requirements and objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate video content into marketing initiatives and campaigns
- Approach video and content capture with a league perspective, working with other teams’ Video Production Managers
- Stay current with industry trends and apply insights to enhance creative processes
- Assist in media day execution
- Design and create motion graphics for video features, if necessary
- Provide sound design and color correction
- Help manage logging and archiving of video content and overall digital asset management
- Assist with other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required
- Must be able to work all home games, as well as frequent practices, training, and events
Compensation
The annual salary range for this role is $50,000 – $55,000 USD. This position includes participation in all welfare, perquisites, fringe benefit, insurance, retirement, and other benefit plans made available by the league.
