Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SQL Developer to join our healthcare technology team. This role will play a critical part in managing and optimizing our data infrastructure, specifically focusing on financial applications and the migration of legacy systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL development, experience with managing large backlogs of tasks, and a passion for improving data processes in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Backlog Management: Work through a significant volume of tickets generated by the business, addressing various requests related to financial applications.
- Stored Procedure Development: Modify, optimize, and troubleshoot existing stored procedures to enhance application performance.
- Application Support & Modernization: Collaborate with the development team to re-write and modernize several legacy applications.
- Data Migration: Assist in migrating data from legacy systems to modern platforms, ensuring data integrity and continuity.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Performance Tuning: Ensure optimal performance of database systems by identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
- Financial Systems Expertise: Support multiple financial applications, providing database solutions that are scalable, efficient, and secure.
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5 years of SQL Development (complex stored procedures)
- Python
- SSIS
- Strong communication skills
Nice to Have Skills and Experience:
- Reporting tool knowledge, MicroStrategy
- ETL experience
- Datawarehouse side
- Teradata
Additional Information
Duration: 6-month contract (potential for extensions)
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
