Job Description

The Apple Design team conceptualizes, designs, and creates the user experience for all Apple products, services, and accessories. As a model writer on the Design Team, you will need a deep interest in writing that is concise, considered, and useful. Your responsibility will be to craft language that our models can use and learn from while actively participating in the design process. You will recognize bad user experiences and possess the passion and perseverance to create great ones. Collaboration with model designers and engineers will be essential to ensure all elements of the experience work together, while also contributing to broader discussions about style and voice across Apple.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience as a writer.
• A broad knowledge of Apple domains, platforms, and approaches.
• A deep interest in iterative content design, experimentation, and prototyping.
• An ability to understand how the nuances of technical stacks and architecture influence writing and design.
• A willingness to see writing as a team sport.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of the total compensation package and is determined within a range, providing opportunities for growth and development. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, which depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Employees also have the opportunity to become Apple shareholders through discretionary employee stock programs and are eligible for benefits including comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, discounted products, free services, and reimbursement for certain educational expenses related to advancing careers at Apple. Additional compensation may include discretionary bonuses or commission payments, and relocation benefits may also be available.
