Position Description:
We are driving the energy transition through innovation, digitalization, and sustainable infrastructure. Our teams are committed to delivering reliable, secure, and efficient energy solutions across a diverse portfolio of assets, including renewable generation and energy storage. This role can be performed remotely in a hybrid work model, with some travel to the Houston office required. CGI anticipates accepting applications for this position through October 31st, 2025.
As a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer, you will transform data into actionable insights supporting strategic decision-making across Client’s business units. You will design, develop, and document advanced BI solutions using tools such as AWS QuickSight, Power BI, and PowerApps, directly supporting our mission to lead the zero-carbon transition by enabling data-driven decisions across Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, deploy, and document interactive dashboards and reports using AWS QuickSight, Power BI, and Grafana.
- Design, develop, deploy, and document custom applications and workflows using PowerApps to streamline business processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze data, and deliver insights that drive operational efficiency and strategic initiatives.
- Develop and maintain data models, ETL pipelines, and data visualizations to support business intelligence initiatives.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across all BI platforms.
- Provide technical expertise and support for BI tools, including troubleshooting and performance optimization.
- Contribute to the development of front-end interfaces using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS (a plus).
- Support initiatives related to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) by delivering relevant analytics and reporting solutions.
Requirements:
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in BI development or data analytics roles.
- Advanced proficiency in AWS QuickSight, Power BI, PowerApps, and Grafana.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases and data warehouses.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with front-end development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS).
- Familiarity with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or energy sector analytics.
- Experience with AWS-based data platforms.
- Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
Other Information:
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $80,000.00 - $150,000.00.
