Media Ontology & Annotation Lead (Computer Vision)

Data Scientist is needed in United States.

We’re hiring a US-based senior specialist to help a confidential enterprise AI program define and operationalize film/tv/media ontologies and vision annotation guidelines for image/video. This is a hands-on role at the intersection of computer vision, data science, and media/film operations, working closely with internal scientists and program leads.

What you’ll do (high level)

• Translate product/science goals into clear, testable label taxonomies and annotation guidelines (decision rules, exemplars, edge-case notes).
• Lead short working sessions to align stakeholders and iterate quickly as objectives evolve.
• Define lightweight calibration and quality routines (e.g., agreement/consistency checks) and support reviewer dispute resolution.
• Document assumptions and change notes and keep guidelines usable for production teams while protecting confidentiality.

What we’re looking for

• US-based practitioner with media industry exposure (film studio/streaming/broadcast/post) and demonstrable computer-vision/data-science experience.
• Track record turning ambiguous creative concepts into operational label sets teams can apply consistently.
• Strong communication (written/visual), comfort collaborating with scientists/PMs/reviewers in short sprints.
• Familiarity with annotation workflows and dataset quality concepts, strict NDA and data-handling discipline.
