Job Description

Custom Comet, LLC is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media & Content Creator to plan, produce, and share engaging content that showcases our products and brand. This contract-based position offers flexible scheduling with a mix of remote work and in-person shoots. Join our team to help shape the voice and visual story of Custom Comet online.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality photos and videos for social media and marketing.
• Manage and publish content on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other platforms.
• Write captions and develop creative campaigns aligned with marketing goals.
• Maintain a content calendar and support product launches, seasonal campaigns, and events.
• Edit and format content for different platforms (Reels, Stories, Posts).
• Track and analyze engagement metrics to guide future content strategy.
• Collaborate with our design and sales teams to align messaging and visuals.
• Coordinate on-location shoots in and around Portland.

Qualifications

• Must live in Portland, Oregon or nearby area.
• Proven photography and videography experience (portfolio required).
• Skilled with editing software (Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, or similar).
• Strong understanding of current social media trends and content best practices.
• Self-starter with excellent time management skills.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Must provide your own camera and editing equipment.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Bonus Skills (Not Required)

• Graphic design experience
• Marketing campaign development
• Website content photography
• Copywriting and strategy input
• Experience working with small brands or eCommerce businesses

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $25.00–$40.00 per hour (contract-based)
• Flexible schedule
• Hybrid: mostly remote with occasional on-site work in Portland
