We are Jupi Labs, Inc., a Venice, CA–based company building JUPI, an immersive music experience set to launch first on Meta Quest 3, and later expand to mobile, desktop, and custom hardware. Our platform combines XR concerts, digital merchandise, interactive avatars, and fan-generated content. We are looking for a Unity Developer with strong experience in XR development (Meta Quest preferred), multiplayer networking (Photon, Mirror, Unity Netcode), cross-platform optimization, and 3D environment design. The role involves developing multiplayer fan environments where users can explore narrative-driven 3D spaces, interact with artist worlds, and create or share content. The position can be fully remote, but a hybrid setup with on-site work in Venice, CA, is preferred. The target start date is January 2026, with a launch goal of May 2026. This is a contract/full-time role with potential for long-term onboarding.

Who are you, and what do you do?
Environment Dev: We’re building JUPI — an immersive music experience launching first on Meta Quest 3, then expanding to mobile, desktop, and eventually custom hardware.

Pipeine Dev: (“photogrammetry” OR “NeRF” OR “Luma AI” OR “Gaussian splats” OR “3D scanning”) AND (Unity OR “real-time rendering” OR shader OR URP) AND (XR OR VR OR AR OR “Quest 3” (OPTIONAL) VISIONPRO)

Responsibilities
• Build and document a real-time or near-real-time Gaussian Splatting pipeline (Unity-integrated preferred)
• Handle end-to-end 3D environment reconstruction using tools like Luma AI, COLMAP, Nerfstudio, or similar
• Optimize captured assets (splat clouds, meshes, textures) for mobile VR (Meta Quest 3)
• Collaborate with creative team to translate narrative and design direction into clean pipelines
• Create tools or scripts to support ingestion, preprocessing, and export of capture data (e.g., photogrammetry, LiDAR, point clouds)
• Assist with multimodal workflows — integrating spatial audio, shaders, or player interactions where necessary

Ideal Skillset
• Deep experience with Unity, particularly URP + VFX Graph
• Familiar with Gaussian Splatting tools: gsplat-unity, Supersplat, NeRF→Splat conversions
• Proficient in Python, C#, and relevant CLI tools for automated batch processing
• Comfortable with mesh decimation, texture baking, and mobile performance constraints
• (Bonus) Experience with WebXR, iPhone-based scanning, or cross-platform deployment (iOS / Vision Pro)
