Product Designers at Snowflake identify opportunities, shape the vision of our products, and ensure we’re delivering highly crafted products that our customers love. As we continue to develop new products and push our existing products forward, we’re searching for Designers to redefine the future of working with data across various surfaces such as visualization, code editors, monitoring, alerting, and collaboration.

REQUIREMENTS

YOUR IMPACT:

  • Drive a significant, complex, and technical product area forward, shaping vision and owning execution.
  • Delight customers by designing high-quality products that deliver meaningful value.
  • Champion user empathy in everything you do, evangelizing partners to do the same.

YOUR ROLE:

  • Identify and drive design opportunities by connecting user and business needs.
  • Collaborate and effectively influence engineering and product partners to design and deliver excellent products.
  • Work end-to-end by identifying opportunities, establishing vision, and collaborating with engineering.
  • Collaborate with the design team for a seamless product experience.
  • Partner with researchers and product managers to leverage customer insights for solutions.
  • Deliver detailed, robust design solutions, collaborating with engineering for quality assurance.
  • Utilize and extend Snowflake’s Design System.
  • Develop strong rationale for design decisions and articulate your perspective.

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

  • 8+ years as a product designer.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering and product partners.
  • Proficient in working with data and technical complexity.
  • End-to-end ownership of meaningful features or surfaces.
  • Ability to advocate for end users in product experiences.
  • Experience shipping products that simplify complex workflows.
  • Capability to iterate on products based on customer feedback.

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience in fast-paced environments with quick iteration cycles.
  • Ability to prototype efficiently, alone or with engineering teams.
  • Interest in the data space and cutting-edge technologies.
  • Familiarity with web technologies like HTML, Javascript/React, and CSS.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

  • Hybrid Role: Based in Menlo Park, CA or Bellevue, WA (3 days per week).

The estimated base salary range for this role is $168,000 - $248,400, and the role is eligible for Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; and other company benefits.
