Job Description

This is a remote position. It is a 100% Remote and Fulltime Position.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.
• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
• Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimising operational efficiency.
• May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
• May supervise computer programmers.
• Mentors junior and intermediate software developers.
• Debug issues, resolve technical challenges, and find creative solutions.
• Create clear and concise documentation for code and projects.
• Possess and apply a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
• Plan and lead major technology assignments.
• Evaluate performance results and recommend major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
• Function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.

Requirements

Primary Skills:

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge and experience with IBM Mainframe z/OS.
• Possess a deep understanding of programming languages, such as Natural frameworks and Adabas database systems.
• Proficiency and experience with XML and Java.
• IDEAL Candidate has an understanding and experience with Natural and Adabas.
