App Developer is needed in Norway.

We are MBJ Global, a company based in Oslo, Norway, working on an innovative health and fitness initiative called Sport v Fat. We want to hire a freelance Mobile App Developer to lead the technical development of our MVP app. Sport v Fat is designed to tackle obesity and promote active lifestyles using technology and gamification, creating a supportive, team-based platform. The app will need to connect with Apple Health, Google Fit, and other wearables, handle user accounts, enable real-world tracking, and run team competitions that make fitness rewarding and enjoyable. Your responsibilities will include architecture, UI/UX design, integration with third-party APIs, backend logic for scores and leaderboards, and ensuring secure, GDPR-compliant data management. We expect you to have experience with mobile app development (preferably cross-platform using Flutter or React Native), published apps, and knowledge of API integration for health technologies. Familiarity with Firebase or similar backend platforms and an understanding of user authentication and secure storage are essential. This is a freelance or contract role, with a project estimated to last 3-6 months (potential for further collaboration). The work is remote, but applicants should preferably be based in Norway or Europe.
