Job Description

We’re seeking a skilled Android Developer for a short-term contract (2–3 weeks) to help bring a secure, branded chat app to life. You’ll work with our engineering team to adapt and refine an existing open-source Android client, making updates that elevate both function and design. This is a great opportunity for a developer who thrives in fast-paced projects and enjoys seeing their work make an immediate impact.

What You’ll Do:

• Customize and adapt an open-source Android chat client for a secure enterprise environment.
• Apply branding updates, including logo replacements and UI refinements.
• Remove or modify translation strings and menu entries to streamline the user experience.
• Prepare the app for deployment to Google Play Testing and coordinate with the iOS team as needed.
• Collaborate with internal developers and stakeholders to deliver a polished, production-ready release on a tight timeline.

Requirements

What You Bring:

• Strong experience in Android development (Kotlin or Java).
• Familiarity with open-source software (OSS) and white-label app customization.
• Experience with chat, communication, or messaging platforms is a plus.
• A hands-on, solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently.
• Eagerness to jump into a project that’s moving quickly and make an immediate contribution.
