Job Description

We are seeking to procure the services of an intermediate .Net Developer for the Applications Development and Support team. The primary focus will be on upgrading a Training Framework Support System, which will be developed using current platforms. The team employs various technologies, including Microsoft Azure Dev Ops, Microsoft Visual Studio, .Net Core, Microsoft SQL Server 2022, Windows Server 2022, Microsoft 365, Windows 11 desktop, and Angular. The .Net developer will also be responsible for defining, producing, and updating related technical documentation.

Requirements

The candidate must possess a minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in a similar role. Key qualifications include:

  • 4+ years of experience in application design, development, testing, and implementation of .Net applications with SQL Server database backends.
  • A degree or higher in computer science or an IT-related discipline (evidence required).

Key Deliverables

The key deliverables for this role include but are not limited to:

  • Design and development of the Training Framework support system
  • Supporting the development/business team
  • SQL Server database development (stored procedures, triggers), maintenance (backup, restore), testing, and performance tuning
  • Participation in meetings
  • Providing knowledge transfer to development/support teams
  • Defining, producing, and updating associated technical documentation

Key Experience/Competencies/Skillsets

Essential experience/competencies/skillsets for this role include:

  • Experience with implementing .Net-based software, including Microsoft.Net Core, C#, VB, MVC, jQuery, and SQL Server within the last 5 years
  • Experience in developing UI using the Angular framework
  • Experience in database development (stored procedures, triggers), maintenance, and tuning
  • Experience in developing and maintaining REST APIs
  • Experience with Azure Dev Ops

Additional Information

Location: Dublin 8, Ireland (Hybrid working model: 3 days in office / 2 days working from home)

Contract / Permanent: 6 Months with the possibility of extension.
