Job Description

We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer (AWS DevOps Consultant) with enterprise level experience to join our team in Reston, VA (Remote). The candidate will work with various delivery teams and shared services engineers and will be responsible for building DevOps pipelines that facilitate the movement of applications to the cloud. Key responsibilities include enhancing EKS and Kubernetes environments, integrating security into the DevOps pipeline, compiling and scanning code for security, and overall enabling cloud transitions.

Requirements

• 3 years of solid EKS and Kubernetes experience is MUST HAVE.
• Hands-on experience with EKS and AWS.
• Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting.
• Experience with Cloudbees, BitBucket, Sonar, Artifactory, and Cloud Native Practices.
• Extensive knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI), Testing (CT), Security, and deployment (CD) concepts.
• Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.
• Ability to apply engineering principles to improve resiliency, performance, efficiency, and scalability in the DevSecOps ecosystem.
• Skill in finding opportunities and building automation to reduce team dependencies.
• Enterprise-level problem solving skills.
• Linux and Windows administration skills.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Self-starter and quick learner.
• Availability to participate in on-call rotation.

Job Type: Contract, Temporary

Pay: $60.00 - $75.00 per hour

Work Location: Remote
