Job Description

We’re looking for a creative and trend-savvy Content Creator based in NYC to join the team of an upcoming digital toy app as an Instagram content creator. This role is ideal for someone who lives and breathes social media culture, loves being on camera, and can create engaging, scroll-stopping content for Instagram—especially Reels. You’ll act as a main personality and ambassador for the brand, creating fun, relatable, and trend-driven content that brings the world of digital collectibles to life.

As a freelance creator, you’ll be responsible for ideating, filming, and editing your own content using your iPhone. Content scheduling/captions will be handled by our team internally.

Responsibilities

• Create original, high-quality short-form video and photo content for Instagram (Reels, Stories, and feed posts).
• Serve as an on-camera personality for brand content, building a recognizable and authentic brand presence.
• Stay up to date on current social media and pop culture trends, adapting them to fit the brand’s tone and audience.
• Film and edit all content independently using your iPhone and other necessary equipment (e.g., tripod, props, editing software).
• Brainstorm and pitch new content ideas weekly.
• Collaborate with the brand’s marketing team for feedback and direction.

Content Examples

• Fun and authentic app reaction videos
• Humorous and relatable skits or trend-based Reels
• Street interviews with people in NYC about relevant topics.
• Graphics and memes that fit the brand voice (not required, but a bonus if you have graphic design experience!)
• Behind-the-scenes or lifestyle-style clips that show personality

Requirements

• Based in New York City (must be available to film in and around NYC).
• Passionate about social media trends—especially Reels and meme culture.
• Strong on-camera presence; comfortable being the face of the brand.
• Experience filming and editing short-form content using an iPhone.
• Excellent understanding of pacing, humor, and storytelling for social media.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Bonus Points

• Background in digital collectibles, blind boxes, toys, or pop culture.
• Experience with street interviews or personality-driven content.
• Graphic design or meme creation skills.
