I am an engineer looking to bring my directorial vision to life through an animated short film. The concept is to create a piece that balances serenity with psychological unease, featuring a looping narrative that begins in shadow, illuminated by a single shooting star as a fleeting symbol of hope. The style should be minimal, contemplative, and immersive, with pacing that invites stillness and slow immersion. Camera work will move from wide meditative shots to intimate close-ups before pulling back, exploring both emotional distance and closeness. The tone shifts from tranquil introspection to awe, revealing a coexistence of beauty and darkness, leaving the audience with a sense of melancholy that evolves into wonder. I want the animation to have an anime-inspired, cinematic and expressive look, rather than cartoonish. I am new to this, so if more info is needed, I’m happy to provide it. The work will be for a single project, but with potential for follow-up and can be done fully remotely.
