Job Description

The company is looking for a Part-Time Product Designer for an AI photo startup. The founder is a former product developer from notable companies like Flickr, Yahoo, Facebook, and Grindr and is currently seeking design assistance for a pre-launch AI startup focused on photo organization and private photo servers. The candidate should be willing to engage in various tasks and should ideally be based in the mid-Peninsula (Bay Area) for occasional collaborations.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Logo Design: Ability to refine logos and enhance design polish for AI-driven product prototypes.
• UX / Wireframe Design: Experience in designing for complex photo-organization interfaces.
• Visual Identity & Typography: Expertise in creating a professional and trustworthy visual presence for the product.
• Web / Marketing Site Design: Experience in establishing a cohesive look across web and app (bonus).

Additionally, the following skills are preferred but not required:

• Capability to manage a professional web and email presence including domain setup and templates.
• Interest in learning or experimenting with CSS, JS, TypeScript, React, or Svelte.
• A builder’s mindset to contribute to product development rather than just delivering mockups.

Education preference includes a Bachelor’s degree, proficiency in English, and a preferred ability to commute to Belmont, CA 94002. This position can be part-time, temporary, or even an internship/apprenticeship with a pay rate of up to $50.00 per hour and expected working hours of 2 to 10 per week.
