Job Description

Urgent requirement for a Senior MS SQL Developer on a contract basis in Melbourne.

Requirements

• 10 - 15+ years of extensive development experience in MS SQL Server 2008R2/2012/2014/2016/2019/2022 instances.
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity, performance, blocking, deadlocking, resource contention, connectivity, and security issues.
• Experience in Performance Tuning and Query Optimization using Performance Monitor, Profiler, SSMS, DMVs, system procedures, and other troubleshooting tools.
• Strong knowledge of indexes, index management, integrity checks, configuration, patching, and statistics.
• SQL Development skills to write and troubleshoot SQL Code and design (stored procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, constraints) and develop/automate database maintenance scripts.
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems with a focus on managing large data volumes (> 4 TB) on multi-disk arrays.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Reporting Services and developing custom reports using SSRS.
• Experience in designing and developing SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages and SSAS systems and Active Directory operations.
• Proven experience working alongside multiple teams.
• Understanding of ITIL and deployment/release processes.
• Proven experience in large and complex corporate networks.
• Microsoft SQL certification required.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to make technical decisions.
• A preparedness to take the initiative and a strong desire to achieve results.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and multitask.

Additional Information

Duration: 06 Months with a possible extension.
