Job Description
GreenXT is seeking a Technical Writer for contract support with the US Navy. This position will contribute to the development and creation of Navy Technical Manuals ™, Test Procedures, Operation & Maintenance Manuals, and other Navy documentation as required. The Technical Writer will work closely with Subject Matter Experts within the field to effectively communicate complex topics related to electronics engineering, electrical engineering, and submarine communication systems. The role involves receiving, transmitting, and analyzing technical data in both manual and electronic formats while maintaining technical documentation. The position operates in an Agile environment, reporting to multiple teams and numerous stakeholders.
Requirements
- Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain this clearance upon position acceptance) will be required
- High School/vocational school degree or GED
- At least three (3) years of experience with technical documentation and logistics
- Preferred at least one (1) year of experience with US Navy HM&E Submarine Communication and Electromagnetic Systems
- Preferred experience with NAVLOGTD
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Technical Writing Skills
- Ability to manage projects effectively and independently
- Experience in proofreading and research
