Job Description

CNN Photojournalists are responsible for capturing images to illustrate CNN news events and stories. They must adhere to the highest ethical, aesthetic, editorial, and technical standards while using the latest technology. Photojournalists are on call 24/7 and must document various news events with a focus on strong editorial skills and independent decision-making. They are expected to travel for newsgathering purposes and possess a valid US driver’s license. Applicants should provide links to examples of their recent work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in communications, journalism, TV production, or related field. Experience and accomplishments may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 5 years of ENG and field production experience.
• Travel is required.
• Strong NLE editing skills.
• Fluency in Spanish is highly desired.
• Knowledge of alternative data transmission systems is desired.
• Knowledge of CNN programming, production, process & newsgathering.
• Experience working in war zones and austere environments.
• On-air reporting experience.
