Journalist Needed to Document Stories of Resilience After Hurricane Melissa [Urgent]
Videographer is needed in Jamaica, Jamaica.
GiveDirectly, a nonprofit supporting survivors of Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica, seeks a freelance photojournalist to interview and document 3-5 recipients of cash assistance. The aim is to capture their stories through interviews, photography, and video, highlighting their resilience and the impact of the program. The ideal candidate will have strong storytelling and sensitive interviewing skills, experience in photography or videography (even on a smartphone), and be able to coordinate with locally-based recipients. Previous experience in nonprofit, human-interest, or disaster recovery storytelling is a plus. All work will take place in Jamaica and must be delivered by November 30th, 2025.
