Job Description

Bloomberg Media is looking for an individual with a proactive attitude who is focused, flexible, and proficient in several aspects of broadcast operations. The candidate will collaborate in a live control room and studio environment, providing coverage in a viz operator capacity. Responsibilities include working with on-air talent, engineering, and editorial teams, as well as global counterparts to ensure a quality visual production daily.

Key responsibilities include:

• Move quickly and accurately under pressure in a fast-paced broadcast environment.
• Collaborate with the technical team and editorial personnel to ensure a quality visual presentation.
• Read, follow and execute all relevant tasks outlined in a live news broadcast rundown.
• Operate a live broadcast graphics rundown, firing graphics while communicating with control room crew and editorial colleagues.
• Load set panoramas to video wall engines in NY and global studio surfaces; assign graphic elements into appropriate channels for video surfaces.
• Change graphics in the wall engines as cued by technical and editorial personnel.
• Follow along with breaking news and match relevant graphics with the on-air conversation.
• Communicate with Operations Team Leads on issues impacting the team and broadcasts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or 1 year of experience working in a live TV environment.
• 1 year of experience operating within Vizrt ecosystem or relevant live graphics software (e.g., Xpression, Chyron).
• Ability to complete tasks with high accuracy under tight deadlines in high-pressure situations.
• Familiarity with ENPS or other relevant broadcast news rundown software.
• A strong desire to work as part of a team in a highly collaborative environment.
• Ability to manage multiple streams of information simultaneously while operating a live graphics system.
• Flexibility to work early morning, evening, overnight hours, and possible holiday coverage.

Salary Range: $45 - $50 USD Hourly. The referenced salary range is based on the Company’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level.
