Job Description

As a contract Motion Designer, you will utilize your versatile creative skills to execute world-class creative projects. From conceptualization to execution and delivery, you will act as a trusted consultant throughout the creative process, bringing the ideas and vision of the team to life. Responsibilities include:

• Create complex animations for various digital media platforms across multiple lines of business.
• Implement feedback effectively.
• Produce content versions that reflect awareness of the intended end use and proactively resolve potential issues.
• Collaborate and build relationships within the team and across other agency disciplines and offices.
• Maintain focus and quality of output while multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you should have the following qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in motion design.
• A strong portfolio and reel demonstrating proven experience in UI app flows and explainer style videos.
• Proficiency in After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma.
• Experience in Cinema 4D and other industry-standard motion & video software is favorable.
• Problem-solving capabilities and a willingness to learn new tools.
• An eagerness to collaborate with other creative individuals.
• Excellent communication skills.

Additional Information

The Talent Team at Critical Mass emphasizes providing optimal training, onboarding, and employee experiences, aiming for long-term success. New hires and employees are required to work in the office 3 days per week to enhance collaboration, continuous learning, and employee engagement. The work model aims to balance individual flexibility with a high level of customer focus.

Salary Range: $60—$70 CAD per hour. Base salaries are determined during the interview process based on skills, experience, and the scope of responsibilities. Additionally, tenure will be considered for current employees.
