Job Description

William Joseph Communications (WJ) assists clients in achieving their business goals through the development and execution of strategic marketing. WJ helps clients develop marketing strategies that are directly tied to achieving business objectives and expertly implement the necessary tactics. WJ is currently looking for a Junior Motion Graphic Designer (Contract) to join their growing team. In this role, you will collaborate with the creative and internal teams to design and animate compelling digital content that captures attention, reinforces brand storytelling, and aligns with client objectives.

Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with designers, art directors, and strategists to create motion graphics for digital campaigns, social media, video, and web.
• Experimenting and pushing current trends in motion.
• Finding opportunities to push and add motion.
• Designing and animating dynamic visuals, including typography, illustrations, and infographics.
• Supporting the development of storyboards, concept frames, and motion studies.
• Ensuring all creative outputs align with brand guidelines and campaign strategies.
• Adapting existing creative concepts for motion-based formats.
• Organizing and managing project files, exports, and versioning in alignment with agency standards.
• Assisting in video editing, sound design, and post-production as needed.
• Contributing creative ideas and exploring innovative ways to use motion to enhance storytelling.

Requirements

The right candidate will demonstrate on their resume:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in motion design, graphic design, animation, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience creating motion graphics, ideally in an agency or studio setting.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) and other appropriate software.
• Understanding of video formats, compression, and optimization for digital channels.
• Strong sense of design, typography, timing, and storytelling.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under tight deadlines.
