BruntWork - Marketing & WordPress Assistant (SEO + Content + Web Management)

This is a remote position.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, between 8:00am to 5:00pm NSW Time (Flexible during client business hours)
• 30 hours per week (part-time)

We are seeking a proactive, highly trainable, and detail-oriented Marketing & WordPress Assistant who can support our client across SEO, website management, and content-related tasks. This role heavily involves WordPress editing, plugin management, SEO execution, and assisting the client with structured tasks based on clear instructions and documentation.

The client may also hire multiple candidates for complementary skill sets (SEO Specialist, Content Writer, WordPress Assistant), so applicants with strengths in any of these areas are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

WordPress Management

• Manage and update WordPress pages, blogs, headers, buttons, sections, and site structure based on detailed instructions.
• Follow existing designs accurately (not required to create original designs from scratch).
• Handle WordPress plugins including:
• WooCommerce
• WooSubscriptions
• WP Rocket (must understand performance optimization and configuration)
• Rank Math SEO plugin
• Read, understand, and follow plugin documentation and API docs when needed.
• Troubleshoot basic WordPress issues, formatting, and layout problems.

SEO & GEO-Based Digital Marketing

• Execute on-page and off-page SEO tasks including:
• Keyword research
• Metadata optimization
• Internal linking
• Content optimization
• Implement local/GEO-targeted SEO strategies (citations, listings, location-based content).
• Conduct SEO performance checks using:
• Google Search Console
• Google Analytics
• SEO tools like SEMrush, Moz, AnswerThePublic, Ubersuggest, SEOMatic
• Support optimization of content, messaging, and website copy.

Content & Marketing Support

• Assist with content writing support (basic article structure, rewriting, or content placement).
• Coordinate content uploads, image updates, landing page improvements, and general marketing tasks.
• Follow instructions clearly and consistently; ability to learn quickly and adapt.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years experience in SEO, Digital Marketing, or WordPress management.
• Strong working knowledge of WordPress CMS and its plugins.
• Ability to follow detailed technical instructions and documentation (including API and plugin docs).
• Familiarity with SEO tools:
• SEMrush
• Moz
• AnswerThePublic
• Ubersuggest
• SEOMatic
• Experience with WooCommerce, WooSubscriptions, WP Rocket, Rank Math.
• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS (preferred).
• Excellent English communication skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, research solutions, and meet deadlines.
